Home Shopping Process
As your real estate agents, our goal is to make the home shopping process fun and rewarding for you. We want to help you find and negotiate a deal on the property you choose and close on the purchase within your desired timeline.

We do this in several key ways:
-
We regularly recommend properties for viewing that closely match your needs, wants, and are within your price range. That spares you the frustration of visiting homes that aren’t suitable. Sometimes, we'll ask you to visit homes prior to scheduling a showing to make sure that the area is also a match.
-
We make sure you don’t miss opportunities by setting you up on listing alerts that match your criteria. That way, you never miss properties as they are listed for sale and are amongst the first to know about them.
-
We help you schedule showings that fit your schedule and create a route between showings that is as efficient as possible to ensure your time is used well.
-
Before you view a property, we provide you with in-depth details on the home, so you can make an informed decision on whether it's a property you'd like to see. We delve into this even more during our scheduled showing.
-
We can give you detailed information about the areas and neighborhoods you're looking in so you know what makes those areas unique.
-
When you find a property you like, we give you an honest and thorough assessment of how well the property matches your needs/wants, a recommended offer price, and go over any particular details that we feel will help you win the contract.

As your real estate agents, we're committed to helping you find that perfect spot. Whether it takes a day or a year, we'll be right there with you every step of the way.

What to Look for when Viewing a Property

Here are a few questions and ideas to consider when viewing homes to help make the process easier and more productive:
-
Does the home have the features that you need? This could include bedrooms, bathrooms, acreage, etc.
-
Does the home have any of your “wants” features? Those would be the things that you'd love to have, but are willing to compromise on.
-
What is the general condition of the home? Are there signs that the owners have kept up with repairs and maintenance? This is important to consider, as certain loan types have different requirements on what is necessary before they will lend on a home.
-
Will the home need any major repairs, remodeling or renovations? Are there any big ticket items that will need to be replaced? Much of this would come to light during a home inspection.
-
What do you like most about the home?
-
Is there anything about the home you don’t like? Is is something that could be changed through remodeling?
-
Take a walk around the neighborhood. Is it an area that you like that also fits your needs?
-
Do you like where the home is situated in the neighborhood?
-
Does the neighborhood have what you want? For example, access to public transit, shopping, local parks, etc.

Looking at homes is incredibly exciting, but it can be frustrating if you're not finding what you want or need. That is where we come in- helping you locate the properties that match what you need and want so that the process is easier and more stress free.
